Bilal Khan and QB Sketches by Ali AtherToday we have got one brilliantly done artistic work sent to us by our Facebook page‘s fan and a true artist Ali Ather, that showcase the two emerging Pakistani musicians of 2011. These are none other than Coke Studio featured Artists; Bilal Khan and Quratulain Balouch aka QB.

Bilal Khan:

started his music career by composing his own original songs in his university life. His debut unplugged song “Bachana” made viral on the internet, which earned him good early recognition. Soon after this, Bilal released the studio version for the song Bachana, and later a whole music video was released for the song.

Then, there was NO Stop for Bilal. He continued to compose and record songs along with Sarmad Ghafoor and released the most of the track as a single on Internet. To date, Bilal has released several studio recorded songs and a couple unplugged version of his album tracks. Recently, Bilal also made a remake to a popular Junoon’s track “Aap aur Hum” as “Dil Mein Meray”. Bilal’s debut album Umeed is completed and now ready to release soon.

Quratulain Balouch, aka QB:

Recently came back to Pakistan from USA after years. QB is passionate very much about Sufi music and inspired with legends such as Abida Perveen, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Reshma. Within a short time, QB has collaborated with musicians such Khawar Jawad, Saad Sultan and Jal Band. Due to her heavy pitched and vibrant vocals, she is now considered the emerging female vocalists in the Pakistani Music Industry. QB has also recently won an international award in UK.
